I spent much of my life battling the shadows of addiction and depression—years lost in institutions, on the streets, and searching for meaning. Today, I stand 12 years free.

A vital part of my recovery was spent fishing along the serene beaches of the Eastern Cape, often at night, alone beneath the vast expanse of the heavens. In those quiet, sacred hours when the world was asleep, I found myself giving thanks to God for His grace and witnessing His majesty in the stillness around me.

This is why I paint. Each brushstroke is driven by a profound sense of urgency for this fleeting life—a life redeemed, once nearly lost but now eternal. It is my way of honouring the beauty of second chances.
